Biography

Having qualified as a chartered engineer and accountant in the early years of his career, Maurice has since developed a life portfolio including roles as NXD, SXD and chairman, executive coaching and mentoring, pioneering philanthropic work, extreme mountaineering and adventure motorcycling around the world.

Maurice’s working life has been driven by international involvement in the leadership, development and coaching of individuals and teams. One of the Institute of Directors’ selected six national executive coaches and mentors, he supports and guides CEOs as they prepare for the future on both their individual journeys and their corporate missions - helping them to make sense of their future.

Working as a chief executive, chairman and executive mentor, he has enabled companies of all sizes and at every stage of development, from owner-managed businesses through VC funded to global blue-chip corporations, to maximise their growth potential and reap the financial rewards.

In addition to his business interests, Maurice is purposeful about the growth and sustainability of the North West’s economy and society. He founded and leads a pioneering values and regional transformation movement – Regional & National Values.

With perhaps more than an average share of life’s adversities successfully overcome, Maurice has the rare qualities of an experienced pragmatist and activist along with a well identified and measured sense of values, purpose, consciousness and fun.
